Nutrient-packed green blend with cabbage, kale, cucumber and ginger for a fresh start.

# What You'll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 cup green cabbage, chopped
02 - 1 cup kale leaves, stems removed, chopped
03 - 1 small cucumber, peeled and chopped
04 - 1 stalk celery, chopped

→ Fruit

05 - 1 green apple, cored and chopped
06 - Juice of 1 lemon

→ Flavorings

07 - 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
08 - 1/2 cup cold water, optional for blending

# Directions:

01 - Wash all vegetables and fruit thoroughly under running water. Chop cabbage, kale (removing stems), cucumber, celery, and apple into pieces suitable for your juicer or blender.
02 - Feed the cabbage, kale, cucumber, celery, apple, and peeled ginger through the juicer. Add the lemon juice directly to the collected juice. Stir well to combine all flavors.
03 - Place all chopped vegetables, apple, ginger, lemon juice, and cold water in a high-powered blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and no large pieces remain.
04 - Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag, pressing with a spoon to extract all liquid. Discard the pulp or reserve for another use. Serve immediately over ice if desired.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • The cabbage adds natural sweetness that balances the greens perfectly, creating a juice that tastes fresh rather than punishingly healthy
  • Kale and cucumber deliver hydration and nutrients without the bitter aftertaste of heavy greens
02 -
  • Cabbage juice can cause bloating in some people, start with smaller amounts if you have a sensitive stomach
  • The quality of your produce matters enormously here, wilted kale or soft cucumber will make noticeably sad juice
03 -
  • Run your juicer or blender with a piece of cabbage between different ingredients to maximize extraction
  • Rotate your leafy greens weekly, switching between kale, spinach, and swiss chard for varied nutrient profiles
